Normally when people think about data services, they tend to think about the applications that we can apply through them: security video, video conference, connections with databases, remote interaction with databases, corporate telephone service in the net and much more…; but now we want speak of products: a) Clear channels, b) IP-Based Clear channels, c) Communications Point to Multi-Point, and d) International Channels.

a) Canales Claros: these are services with connections point to point, offered in SDH technology, which means that they are “Free of Protocol” channels, channels in which it is not necessary to carry out encapsulation on any other type of protocol; maybe the most important characteristic is the dedicated bandwidth which is exclusively used by this type of connection. These services are mainly used for connections point to point, meaning that communication travels expressly from one point to another.

b) IP-Based Clear channels: or as we call them EPLS: Ethernet Private Line Service. With functionality similar to the clear canals, this service reserves the bandwidth for the contracted service, directly on the IP net (or MPLS). At this time it is important to make note, that now 100% of data applications really have a protocol, in this case, most of these protocols are now IP. While passing these applications through an IP network, means that we are passing those applications on networks that need no use of any encapsulation for their transport from one side to the other.

c) Communications Point to Multi-Point: The majority of organizations require connecting your main office with your agencies or remote offices; that it is exactly what we provide with this product. We connect a point (main office) with several points (agencies). MULTIDATA carry these types of communications mainly on two technologies: MPLS and FR; both with their advantages and disadvantages, and in smaller scale by SAT; which we can talk about later. In relation to the point to multi-point connection, it is important to mention the optimization of resources that takes place in the main office, by this I am referring to the routing equipment, protection or security equipment, connection interface equipments, etcetera. Which in definitive save a substantial amount of money in equipment investments and the best feature is that with more reliable networks and with better quality.

d) International Channels: We mention this as a separate product because of the importance it represents in our portfolio of products, but it is very common that this international service is supplied to our clients as a whole package with other national or international services. For MULTIDATA the importance of this product is due to the large quantity of international services that we supply to our clients.
